Job Overview:

The Human Resources (“HR”) Manager will lead, direct, and monitor the entire functions of the HR department, including actively recruiting, hiring, interviewing, and onboarding staff; coordinating or facilitating training; administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. The HR Manager will play a crucial role in supporting a high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, and productivity while continuously improving HR processes to meet the growing needs of the business.


Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Staffing:

  • Manage the entire recruitment lifecycle, including drafting job descriptions and job postings, actively sourcing candidates predominantly through outbound reach, conducting and coordinating interviews, and onboarding new hires.
  • Work with department leads to develop job descriptions and performance expectations.
  • Develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategies and methodologies to attract top talent.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and inquiries, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment law.
  • Mediate and resolve workplace conflicts and provide coaching to managers on handling employee relations issues.
  • Foster a positive work environment that supports the company’s culture and promotes employee engagement and retention.
  • Manage employee immigration and naturalization sponsorships and processes.

Performance Management:

  • Conceive and oversee the performance review process, including training managers on best practices and ensuring timely completion of reviews.
  • Support the development and implementation of performance improvement plans when necessary.
  • Proactively assist in identifying training and development needs for employees and creating programs to address those needs.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Administer and oversee compensation and benefits programs, including salary reviews, health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
  • Ensure the company’s compensation structure is competitive and compliant with legal requirements.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to maintain an attractive and equitable benefits package.

Compliance and Policy Management:

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop, update, and enforce Employee Handbook and HR policies and procedures that reflect best practices and legal requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.

HR Strategy and Planning:

  • Contribute to the development of HR strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to senior management to support decision-making.
  • Lead HR projects and initiatives, such as diversity and inclusion programs, employee wellness programs, and organizational development efforts.

Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs and partner with external vendors or develop in-house training programs.
  • Promote continuous learning and development within the organization.
  • Support leadership development programs and succession planning efforts.

Job requirements

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in HR management or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, out-of-state hiring and employment, and HR best practices.
  • Proven experience in managing employee relations and performance management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is preferred.


Preferred Skills:

  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is highly desirable.
  • Experience in administering and overseeing employee’s immigration processes and sponsorship.
  • Familiarity with Gusto, Expensify Boundless, and any other HR and Expense Reporting platforms.
